Table and Chair Setup Guide
General Space Requirements:
To ensure comfortable seating and ease of movement, here’s the recommended space for setting up tables and chairs:
Space Between Rows of Tables:
Ideally, leave 1.2m (or even better, 1.5m) between rows of tables. This provides enough room for chairs to be pulled out and for guests to comfortably move in and out of their seats.
If you have more space available, 1.5m is preferred for extra comfort.
You can leave 1m between rows, but it will be tight and may make movement more difficult.
Tables:
2.4m Tables:
These tables seat 8 people comfortably, with 4 on each side.
If not joined together, they seat 1 person at each end.
1.2m Tables:
These smaller tables seat 4 people comfortably, with 2 on each side.
If not joined together, they seat 1 person at each end.
Space Considerations for Layout:
For Rows of Tables:
Ensure the space between each row is at least 1.2m to allow chairs to be fully extended. For Wider Aisles or Larger Events:
1.5m between rows allows for more comfortable circulation and easier movement.
